The Year 2013

2013 was a year of 2 halves and mixed emotions for Nolan’s of Kilcullen. It was a year where we lost Andy, James’s Dad who at 83 years old had lived his life perfecting the craft of butchery which helped James bring it on to what it is today. We feel proud that Andy lived to see the shop win the UK and Ireland title for Best Butcher shop and numerous all Ireland National titles for Nolan’s Sausages, Spiced Beef and Puddings. We miss him every day and still expect him to be in position where he worked every day. However little Andrew James was born within 2 weeks of Andy’s departure and is a carbon copy of Andy with his long legs, strawberry blonde hair and most of all inquisitive little mind which will help him if he decides to become the 5th generation butcher of the Nolan family. We wish all our customers a very Happy and Healthy New Year in 2014 and would like to thank you all for the tremendous support and well wishes which you extended to us all throughout 2013.
