On behalf of The Punchestown Kidney Research Fund I was delighted to be invited to the Northern Ireland Kidney Foundation event in Queen’s University, Belfast today.
My compliments to all involved in NIKF for all the phenomenal work that they are doing for Kidney patients. It was indeed very inspiring.
PKRF research bursary recipients
Dr Michael Corr and Dr Michael Toal
(1st picture)gave an outline of their ongoing Kidney research and thanked the PKRF supporters for the support they have received.
Kidney Donor Liz Moloney and Kidney Recipient Padraig Moloney (1st picture also) from Kilcullen also attended and were also very impressed with all the different presentations.
I often wonder what went through the minds of the Transplant surgeons many years ago and the complexity of the many different challenges that they faced. Thanks to Research and skilled medical Teams and amazing Donors -
I, Padraig and thousands others are lucky and privileged to be able to live normal lives.
Thank You…
